Finding the right contractor and establishing an effective working relationship is just as important as choosing the right flooring or estimating costs. During this process and continuing through construction you will have questions. Below we’ve answered for you some of the most common we’ve encountered to help you in choosing CMI Construction for your remodel job

  • How long have you been in business?

    CMI Construction was founded in 1995. Additionally, we have many craftsmen on our staff that have been in the construction business for many years. Our office is located at 2231 N Lowell Rd, F2 in Springdale AR 72764

  • Are you a member of any remodelers associations?

    Yes, we are members of the Home Builders Association, and Northwest Arkansas Remodelers Council.

  • Do you have insurance?

    Yes, we are fully insured and bonded.

  • Do you specialize in particular types of projects?

    CMI Construction is known to be a large scale remodeling business and custom builder. Our repertoire is diverse, from expansive outdoor living areas to complete remodels of older homes to new construction featured in Parade of Homes. No job is really too large for us, however, some jobs are too small.

  • Do I have to file for a building permit?

    This is the benefit of letting CMI Construction take care of your project. As a General Contractor we oversee all aspects of the project from building permits, real estate needs, purchase and ordering etc.

  • Do you offer a warranty?

    We honor our work and materials in coordination with the manufacturers warranty for one year after the work is complete. If its not right, we’ll fix it.

  • Will you work with me on the timing of my remodel?

    Absolutely! CMI will schedule you for a consultation and at that time we will discuss the scale of your project, the projected time to complete an in depth estimate, specific logistics such as your needs and variables like the season etc. and create a mutually agreeable plan with estimated completion timelines for your project.

  • How can I get in touch with you during my remodel?

    We pride ourselves on being accessible and communicating well. You'll have several cell phone numbers to contact us including CMI's owner/operator, project manager, selections coordinator etc.

  • How safe is my job-site during a remodel?

    Construction sites can be inherently dangerous given the increased traffic, large trucks and such. CMI Construction takes every precaution to ensure that potentially dangerous areas are clearly marked and roped off. We keep our equipment and materials as far away as possible from the areas frequented by you and your family to ensure maximum safety.

  • What happens if the costs are more than you estimated?

    Cost overruns can happen in a remodeling job. Hiring an experienced re-modeler like CMI Construction can help to mitigate “surprises” during the job which is typically what causes cost overruns. We have had very few jobs where our quoted cost needed adjustment. If we do find something that may increase the costs with the remodel we communicate this with you, show you exactly the problem and what needs to be done to correct the problem.

  • What if I want to change something in the design?

    Occasionally, people change their mind, think of a new feature or different way they’d like something done. We welcome homeowners to discuss their thoughts about changes in the remodel with us. The point is to get exactly what you want and we’re here to help.
